Learn the Signs to Prevent Child Sexual Abuse
As Stand to Protect takes on a new name, Child Sexual Abuse Prevention, the same mission stands to learn the signs to prevent child sexual abuse. Will you join us in this mission?
Now through August 9, Dakota Medical Foundation (DMF) will be hosting a “Learn the Signs” campaign to raise awareness for Child Sexual Abuse Prevention by encouraging every adult in North Dakota to take the pledge to protect kids and watch a 30-minute video that teaches you key steps to protect.
This is a difficult topic to discuss, and it’s often a silent reality affecting many children as one in 10 kids will be sexually abused by the time they turn 18. Many of these children do not tell anyone they were sexually abused, which causes a lifetime of unthinkable trauma.
However, if we know the signs to prevent child sexual abuse, together, when we learn the signs of abuse and grooming, we can protect kids from a lifetime of trauma.
Your support will change lives. Here are three ways you can help today:
- Sign the pledge.
- Watch the video.
- Share the message with three other adults.
